SCP: Deep Exposure
A downloadable game for Windows and Linux
SCP Deep Extract is a small sit and survive game I made for the Cosmic Horrors Jam III
Your goal is to prevent your sanity from reaching 0 by typing the word displayed on your tablet correctly, seen in the thumbnail of this game, and pressing enter.
However, you are in the presence of SCP 3000 a giant, aquatic cognitohazard who will drain your sanity if you don't activate the SCRAMBLE button on your display.
There are four difficulties, getting words wrong will make the game more difficult, and as time progresses SCP 3000 will become more and more present.
This game has not been play tested and is primarily for the Cosmic Horrors Jam III which ends in several days at the time of writing this so please let me know of any issues, balancing problems, or just any suggestions you can think of!
I may add in the future or before the game jam ends:
- SCP 079 as an additional antagonist on all difficulties except easy
- Animated death screen
- Easter eggs hidden within the gameplay
- Additional aquatic life to distract (large sharks, angler fish, etc)
Want to learn about SCP 3000 and other anomalies? Check out of the original entry for SCP 3000 on the SCP wiki
You can find the Thaumiel icon I use on the tablet there was well!

Delicious popcorn lore with nightmare fuel butter drizzled on top.
This is the most amazing way a game of mine has ever been described thank you!
I really liked the uniqueness of the mechanics here. I think I honestly am going to use it to teach my daughter how to type - maybe mortal fear can convince her!
I had a lot of fun with it!
Really fun, but a bit short (though it was made for a game jam so I can understand that). I highly recommend at least trying this game!
Thanks for playing! I definitely want to add more so it's more replayable and a longer game in general in the future.
I just added a bunch of bug fixes in the mean time :D
